INSTRUCTION FEES

HOURLY RATE: $45.00 PER HOUR DAILY RATE: $250.00 PER DAY 10AM-5PM WITH A 1 HOUR LUNCH BREAK 2 DAY CLASS RATE: $500.00 10AM-5PM WITH A 1 HOUR LUNCH BREAK 3 DAY CLASS RATE: $650.00 10AM-5PM WITH A 1 HOUR LUNCH BREAK MATERIAL FEE: $50.00. THIS IS A ONE TIME FEE WHEN TAKING A BEGINNING OR INTERMEDIATE SILVERSMITHING CLASS. THE FEE COVERS USE OF ACETYLENE, FLUX, SOLDERS, SAW BLADES, A CABOCHON STONE, COPPER, BRASS AND STERLING SILVER FOR THE PROJECT.

Classes are setup on Genevieve Flynn Studio’s website. It will provide a complete description with a secure payment platform. Fees are non-refundable once signed up. If a medical emergency or death in the family occurs and you have to cancel you are given up to 3 months from the date of the original class to reschedule. Genevieve will work with students to fulfill the obligation of a paid class.

STUDIO TIME/BENCH RENTAL

THIS TIME IS SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE WITH GENEVIEVE. I NO LONGER OFFER WEEKLY OR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS.

BENCH RENTAL/STUDIO TIME FEES:   HOURLY FEE:  $25.00 PER HOUR This weekly fee is paid in advance at the time of scheduling. There are no reimbursements for cancellations of time paid.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!  The rental time is specifically for students to work on their own.  Students are expected to have knowledge with soldering, polishing and using jewelry tools.  Instruction is NOT provided in the rental time fee.  If you feel that you will need some instruction please let Genevieve know prior to scheduling time so that she can be available for you. 

All bench rental/studio time is to be scheduled with Genevieve prior to coming in.  Studio time will be scheduled for a Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday.  Availability may vary due to accommodating Genevieve’s previously scheduled classes or studio time.  Students will have access to the soldering bench, polishing equipment, some hand tools.  All students MUST provide their own saw blades, flux, solders, basic usable items.  I.e. drill bits, flex shaft mandrels and wheels.  

Genevieve Flynn Studio offers studio time on Thursday, Friday or Saturdays. People interested are allowed time from 10am-5pm on these days. Bench/Studio Time should be scheduled prior to your coming in. Studio time available may vary due to Genevieve’s schedule. Rental time is set up at least a week prior to ones arrival. People are expected to work on their own without any instruction from Genevieve.

Fees are collected in advance to ensure that you have a slot to work in on the preferred days/times. Please know that if you have to cancel or cannot attend your bench rental time slot it will not be carried over to another day or month UNLESS you speak with Genevieve about your reason for not

Genevieve Flynn Studio has bench space for up to 7 people for their own usage. With the bench rental fee students are allowed to use the tools in the studio. Please know that this time is for the student to work on their own projects, this does not include any instruction time. If you are requiring instruction then you should contact Genevieve and schedule this time which can be in conjunction with your studio/bench time.

Students are expected to provide any “usable” items I.e. drill bits, saw blades, magnification, usable items used on the flex shaft will not be provided by Genevieve Flynn Studio. Materials such as copper, silver or brass, stones etc can be purchased through Genevieve Flynn Studio if the studio has it on hand. Genevieve Flynn Studio does keep a small amount of inventory on hand for sale and tools can be ordered through Genevieve.

Students should provide their own face masks and/or safety glasses.

Hand tools are available as well as access to the soldering bench, acetylene/air torches, polishing equipment and other small tools.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

Open toed shoes are not allowed in the studio due to the possibility of injury to the feet.

Hair should be pulled back during class time.

Please don’t wear good clothes.

Cats reside in the studio at times so if you are allergic to cats please take your allergy meds prior to coming in.

Food is not allowed in the studio while working

Drink containers that are not glass AND have a lid are allowed.
