This one of a kind neckpiece and detachable brooch is a statement piece. The leaves and orchid brooch are chased and repoussé in Argentium silver. Several of the orchid leaves have a satin finish while others are highly polished. The leaves are connected to one another through a small post. behind where they overlap. The neckpiece is set with a total of 5 pear shaped green tourmalines, all set in 14k yellow gold custom made basket settings. An Orchid Brooch, which is detachable, can be attached to the neckpiece. There is a hinged catch that lays behind a single leaf when the brooch is not worn on the neckpiece. The orchid has a large green tourmaline mounted in the throat of the blossom set in 14k yellow gold.

This piece should not be worn when applying perfumes/colognes, hair spray, lotions etc. It should not be exposed to water or moisture since the sealant is a water based product. I suggest wiping the necklace with a soft, cotton cloth upon removal from your neck. Keeping the necklace in an airtight ziplock enclosure will deter patination or oxidation. This will also keep the gold leaf from being marred or scratched.
