This intricately saw pierced luna moth is cut from sterling silver sheet. The body is formed using an ancient metals technique chasing and repoussé. The wings have been shaped to give the appearance of movement.

This piece should not be worn when applying perfumes/colognes, hair spray, lotions etc. It should not be exposed to water or moisture since the sealant is a water based product. I suggest wiping the necklace with a soft, cotton cloth upon removal from your neck. Keeping the necklace in an airtight ziplock enclosure will deter patination or oxidation. This will also keep the gold leaf from being marred or scratched.
